DAY 1

Arrive in Lusaka

On arrival at Lusaka International Airport, please clear customs and immigration and collect your luggage.

Proceed through into the Arrivals Hall where a representative will meet and assist you to check-in for your onward flight.

Please note that there is a luggage restriction of 33lbs (15kg) per person including hand luggage and all camera equipment on flights within Zambia.

Depart Lusaka on a scheduled light aircraft flight to Mfuwe.

On arrival at Mfuwe Airport, a representative will meet and transfer you to the camp. The transfer time is approximately 2 hours, subject to game viewing en-route.

Nsefu is in the heart of the national park and the game viewing is spectacular. The Camp offers charm and total comfort in remoteness and seclusion. The perennial Luangwa River is the very life-blood of the Park and, together with its many oxbow lagoons, it ensures a permanent supply of water to support high concentrations of wildlife.

Nsefu is a lovely camp with a nostalgic ambience and a wonderful location. As at all Robin Pope camps, the atmosphere is intimate, the camp staff friendly and professional, and the service highly personalized.

DAY 5

Depart Mfuwe to Lower Zambezi National Park

Time permitting you will enjoy an early morning activity.  After breakfast, a camp representative will meet you in the reception area of the lodge and transfer you to Mfuwe Airport.  The departure time will be advised to you locally. The transfer time is approximately 2 hours, subject to game viewing en-route.

Depart Mfuwe on Proflight scheduled light aircraft flight to Lusaka.

On arrival at Lusaka International Airport, please collect your luggage and proceed through into the Arrivals Hall where a representative will meet and assist you to check in for your onward flight. 

Depart Lusaka on a scheduled light aircraft flight.

On arrival at Royal airstrip, a representative will meet and transfer you to the camp. The transfer time is approximately 20 minutes by road followed by 30 minutes by boat, subject to game viewing en-route.

Arrive in Kafue National Park

Time permitting you will enjoy an early morning game viewing activity.  After breakfast a camp representative will meet you in the reception area of the lodge and transfer you to the Royal airstrip.  The departure time from the lodge will be advised to you locally.

Depart Royal on a scheduled light aircraft flight to Lusaka.

On arrival at Lusaka International Airport, please collect your luggage and proceed through into the Arrivals Hall, where a representative will meet and assist you to check-in for your onward flight. 

Shumba Camp is situated in the northwestern corner of the 22,500-square-km Kafue National Park, in the famed Busanga Plains area. The Plains, covering approximately 750 square kilometres, is considered one of Zambia's most important wetlands, as well as a wildlife paradise with a wealth of plains game, predators and birds. The Kafue National Park is one of the largest and most spectacular national parks in Africa.

This camp is perfectly situated to see large numbers of plains game and their predators - including some of the best lion and cheetah viewing in Africa!

For those interested in birding, Busanga Plains boasts some 390 species, including such specials as Wattled and Crowned Cranes, Fulleborn's and Rosy-throated Longclaws, Lanner Falcon and large flocks of Open-billed and Yellow-billed Storks.

Depart Lusaka Airport on Wilderness Air to Busanga.

On arrival at Busanga airstrip, a Shumba Camp representative will meet and transfer you, by helicopter to the camp.  The helicopter transfer is approximately 10 minutes.

Depart Busanga  to Lusaka, to connect with your onward flight home.
