Spend 9 days exploring the wonders of the South Luangwa with the magnificent Zambezi River, and the wildlife that gathers on its banks in the Lower Zambezi National Park.
Highlights: South Luangwa National Park, Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambezi River and Mosi-oa Tunya National Park.
Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrive in Lusaka
On arrival at Lusaka International Airport a representative will meet & assist you.
Depart on a scheduled light aircraft transfer from Lusaka Airport to Mfuwe Airport.
On arrival at Mfuwe Airport, a representative will meet and transfer you. Road transfer to South Luangwa National Park in open 4x4 vehicles on a tarmacced road. The approximate transfer time is 45 minutes.
45 minute gravel road game drive transfers to Sanctuary Puku Ridge Camp.
The remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activities on offer. The camp manager will advise details of all the activities available.
Activities available include:
Game Drives - A full range of game drives and night drives in the South Luangwa National Park using open 4X4 vehicles driven by a knowledgeable guide. On night game drives, guests will return to camp by 8pm.
Walking Safaris - The emphasis in this area is on the wonderful opportunities for walking safaris. Guided walks are led by a professional Sanctuary guide and an armed national parks scout.

DAY 4
South Luangwa to Lower Zambezi
You will enjoy an early morning game viewing activity before being transferred to Mfuwe Airport for a scheduled shared light aircraft transfer to Kulefu. 45 minute gravel road game drive transfer followed by a 45 min tarmacced road transfer to Mfuwe in open 4x4 vehicles.
Depart Mfuwe on a scheduled shared light aircraft transfer to Kulefu via Lusaka. On arrival at Lusaka Airport, a representative will meet and assist you to your onward flight.
Kulefu airstrip: 10-15 minute boat transfer from airstrip to camp. The transfer may take longer depending on game viewing opportunities en route.
Jeki Airstrip: The transfer from Jeki is 1 hour 30 minutes with an option of a 30 minute game drive followed by a 1 hour boat transfer.
Royal Zambezi Airstrip: The transfer from Royal Zambezi Airstrip is a 20 minute road transfer followed by a boat 2 hour transfer.

Activities available include:
Game Drives - guests can take professionally guided day and night drives through the riverine woodlands in customised 4x4 vehicles.
Walking Safaris - game walks offer a perfect way to experience the bush up close and personal. Walking safaris are conducted by a professional guide and are always escorted by an armed national parks scout.
Motorised boat - early morning or sunset river cruises are available as well as fishing in the Zambezi River (subject to water levels).
Canoeing Excursions - enjoy an unforgettable canoe ride down the river to see the local wildlife from the river level.
Fishing Excursions- fishing trips for game fish such as catfish, bream or the renowned tiger fish on a catch and release basis can be organized.

DAY 5
Lower Zambezi
The Zambezi shares a heady mix of strength and tranquility with all who come close to it - and it is this very special essence which Sanctuary Zambezi Kulefu Camp manages to capture. Kulefu, which
means “the faraway place”, is an Eden of wild places, located on a permanent channel of the Zambezi in the cool shade of a grove of Winterthorn Acacias.

Lower Zambezi National Park

DAY 7
Lower Zambezi to Livingstone
Time permits you to enjoy an early morning game viewing activity before being transferred to Kulefu airstrip.
On arrival at Livingstone airport, a Sussi & Chuma representative will meet and transfer you to the lodge. The transfer time is approximately 20 minutes.
The rest of their day is at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activities on offer.
Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma, located in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park on the banks of the Zambezi River, only 12km from Victoria Falls, consists of an exclusive upmarket lodge and two spacious two bedroom houses.

Activities include:
A guided tour of Victoria Falls from the Zambian Side.
A cultural Simonga Village Visit where the village scouts and guides show guests around the village.
Game Drives: Explore the game-rich Mosi-oa- Tunya National Park in open 4X4 vehicles, accompanied by a professional guide.
Motorised Boat Safaris and Sundowner Cruises: Early morning or sunset river cruises are available.

Livingstone
Your day is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer.

Livingstone to Johannesburg
Time permitting you to enjoy an early morning activity before their transfer to Livingstone Airport. The transfer time is approximately 20 minutes.
On arrival at Tambo International Airport, a representative will meet and assist clients to their onward flight.
You will have access to the Premier Lounge.
