Day 1 – 4: 3 Nights in Somalisa Camp, Hwange National Park

On arrival into Victoria Falls, you will be met and road transferred to Hwange Main Camp. On arrival at Hwange Main Camp, you will be met by your guide from Somalisa and game driven to Somalisa Camp where you will spend the next three nights of your Safari

Somalisa Camp is set in the heart of Hwange National Park, and is known as the land of the giants for its big elephant herds. Nestled in a stunning location tucked away on an acacia island along the edge of an ancient seasonal flood plain, Somalisa provides guests with breathtaking views of the savannah plains across the famous Kennedy Vlei line. At Somalisa Camp, you will experience the heightened romance of the African Bush in one of the most natural environments in Africa. This is the way Africa was meant to be explored.

Consisting of only six elegantly furnished canvas tents with en suite bathrooms, flush toilet and romantic al fresco bush showers. The décor in the main lounge and dining area, echoes of an era extending from the colonial day and age to the ancient tribes of Africa and tells stories from all corners of this magnificent continent. The main decking area includes a small splash pool overlooking the natural pan where herds of game congregate to drink and where guests can relax whilst soaking in the African bush.

Activities include guided walks lead by qualified and passionate guides who will share their knowledge and love of the bush with you, game drives and night drives. Wildlife sightings include elephant, kudu, sable antelope, zebra, wildebeest, gemsbok, the rare and endangered roan antelope, buffalo, giraffe, white rhino, lion, leopard, hyena, and many other wildlife species.

Day 4 – 5: 1 Night in Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, Victoria Falls

After your breakfast you will be transferred back to Victoria Falls where you will spend one night at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge on Bed and Breakfast basis.

The Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is a luxury haven in an un-spoilt area of Zimbabwe. The property is set high on a plateau overlooking the Zambezi National Park, and a mere 3km from the Victoria Falls. The views from the lodge are spectacular and a great variety of wildlife can be spotted at and around the nearby waterhole. These include elephant, kudu, buffalo, waterbuck and various other smaller animals. The entire lodge has been built to afford its guests the best views of the bushveld, the National Park and the waterhole. Each room has its own private balcony to ensure great views, and binoculars are available from reception if you’d like to get a close-up view.

The lodge is decorated in warm African patterns and colors, creating a very homely feeling. We loved the extra length beds and the remote-controlled air-conditioners. And if that doesn’t sound like luxury – consider the fact that there are phones in the bedrooms, bathrooms and lounges of the suites. The top floor has a small lounge and the most spectacular look-out spot of all. We could easily see some kudu and impala having a drink in the distance. The lodge’s Buffalo Bar is also situated on one of these levels and overlooks the beautiful rock pool and its lush surrounds.

Dining at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is quite an experience, especially if you choose to dine at the nearby The Boma – Place of Eating, an open-sided restaurant sheltered by the indigenous Gusu forest. Here you will be subject to a cultural experience of note. The evening kicks off with the custom of pre-dinner hand washing and tasting of the local beer, followed by a performance by traditional Ndebele dancers and singers.

Day 5 - 7: 2 Nights in Khwai Tented Camp, Khwai Community Area

After your breakfast you will be transferred to Kasane Airport. From here you will fly with Mack Air to Khwai airstrip. Upon your arrival at Khwai airstrip you will game drive through the concession area to Khwai tented camp for the next two nights of your safari adventure.

Khwai Tented Camp has recently been relocated to a semi-permanent site within this community-run concession on the eastern border of the Moremi Game reserve. The new exclusive location of the Khwai Tented Camp, on the banks of a lagoon flowing into the Khwai river, acts as a boundary between the reserve and the community area, offering visitors staying here several unique ways to experience Africa.

Besides the day-time drives which can feature Africa’s big attractions – lion, cheetah, leopard, wild dog, elephant, buffalo, hippo and giraffe – guests at Khwai Tented Camp are able to explore nature after sunset with a night drive. This activity, along with the guided walking safaris, is not usually permitted in the National Parks or Game reserves, and allows guests to get an up close and personal experience with some of Africa’s nocturnal and / or more elusive animals. The camp also provides the opportunity to explore the great stands of leadwood and mopane woodlands as well as open grasslands and banks of the Khwai river on foot.

You will enjoy spacious meru style tents elegantly set-up on wooden decking overlooking the tranquil waters of the lagoon. Accommodation includes en-suite bathroom facilities with flush toilets and al-fresco bucket showers. Enjoy your afternoons and evenings in the main dining and lounger area, where the furniture provides an aura of both colonial and traditional era’s. Simple yet elegant, the New Khwai Tented Camp provides guests with an authentic and exclusive safari experience.

Day 7 – 10: 3 Nights in Linyanti Bush Camp, Chobe Enclave

After an early morning activity at Khwai tented Camp you will game drive through to the airstrip where you will connect with your charter flight to Saile airstrip. Upon your arrival at Saile airstrip you will game drive through the Chobe Enclave to Linyanti Bush Camp for the next three nights of your safari adventure.

Linyanti Bush Camp is an intimate 12-bed luxury tented camp on the banks of the Linyanti Marsh, within a Private Concession bordering the western boundary of Chobe in the Chobe Enclave. You will enjoy some of the most spacious and comfortable tented accommodation and beds available today. The bathrooms are private and en-suite, consisting of fixed showers which are housed under the tent and gas-heated, as well as a flush toilet for your convenience.

The camp is limited to small exclusive groups who seek a personalized experience in a private concession away from the main tourist’s routes. Activities from the camp consist of game drives, walking, night drives, mokoro safaris, boat cruises, and fishing.

Linyanti is best known for its large populations of Elephant and buffalo that congregate in vast numbers especially during the dry season. Other wildlife encounters include Lion, sable, roan, leopard, wild dog, the rare and elusive sitatunga antelope, red lechwe, hippo and crocodile, as well as other species of plains game. The area also offers spectacular birding all year round. The area's relative remoteness makes it a favored wild safari destination and one of the best sought after areas in Northern Botswana.

Day 10: Linyanti Bush Camp – Maun / Kasane

After a delightful activity at Linyanti Bush Camp, you will game drive through to the Saile airstrip for your charter flight to Maun, for your onward travel arrangements.
